"The room was very spacious and felt premium. However, one of the curtains was damaged, and there was a large stain on the carpet. Though this was only minor as they were only slight cosmetic issues. The biggest issue was the air-conditioning as it barely even worked. We actually found it was more cooling to open the window. "This is an older Hotel with a nice charm and history to it. Its in a great location. Great safe, free parking on street outside. Staff are excellent, responsive, friendly and take iniative to help you have a good experience. Lift is small and access into the hotel for wheel chair or childs buggy is difficult/ almost impossible...big steps at entrance & no ramp.This is a weak point. Food in hotel is good. Good chef. Water in showerwas not constant hot, would move to just warm quickly. But overall...

"The hotel is in a good location, and staff were generally helpful, however the hotel its self needs updating in regards to its rooms and amenities. Our room was like a sweat box with the fan making little to no difference. The window could barely open and even during the night a breeze was not circulating. "Never book here. The walls are paper thin. We were up all night because people were coming in from the bars and slamming doors. The rooms have nothing in them besides a bed. They didn’t even provide soap in the bathroom to wash your hands. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in."
