"The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful, from check in, to breakfast serving, to check out. Each person was happy and smiling during my stay. Room was clean and tidy, with all the usuals you would expect (ironing facilities, hairdryer, toiletries etc). Will stay there again if in the area."

"Advertised clothes washer but there is not one on site! Luckily there is one within a 5min drive. But did not appreciate false advertising. Also, beds were completely ran through. Felt nothing but springs "

"We were visiting some ancestral homes in and around the area but this location was also really convenient for Cork and Cobh. Eric the host and owner was great - super helpful and checked in every day to make sure all was well. Full shared kitchen stocked with every convenience was also great - as was having a space to hangout besides the room to do some work. Plus fun to meet other guests."

"I would recommend this hotel. The only downside of this place is no onsite or near by parking. You need to park in parkades that are about a 10-min walk from the hotel. With any booking you make in the Ireland, always book the breakfast of you intend to eat breakfast. It will save you a ton if you prebook and pay for it."

"The hotel has charm but is definitely showing its age. The spa was the biggest disappointment — overpriced, poorly delivered, and handled by an inexperienced massage attendant. The windows could use a good clean, and the grounds would benefit from some general tidying to bring the place back to life. On a positive note, breakfast was generous in portion and very well cooked, which was a welcome highlight of the stay."

"It’s not a hotel, it’s student housing. The staff was very friendly, but gives dorm room vibes. Wasn’t a terrible stay, but would choose differently if we came to cork again. No parking so plan on spending around 40 euro a day on the nearest car park."

"When we entered our assigned room, it smelled off. We opened the bathroom door and the entire ceiling and some of the wall was covered in clearly visible black mold. We returned to the front desk to ask for another room. They were very helpful. The manager showed us to a new room which was much better, but how do you allow a room to look like that and then try to rent it out? Even though they were accommodating, that put a bad taste in our mouths for the rest of our stay."

"We stayed 3 nights at the Belvedere Lodge. We were a bit put off initially by the busy road right in front, but the Lodge is set back enough that it's not a real issue. Sandra greeted us at the door, and helped us up to the upper floor with our luggage, which wasn't light. The room was spacious, with a nice view of the back garden, which was full of blooming roses. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom very nice as well. The icing on the cake was breakfast. There was always a buffet...

"Mixed experience. Staff were great and overall property was fine. Location good. However water and coffee/milk/sugar in our room on arrival wasn’t replenished during our 3 night stay. Rooms are on the small side. The biggest issue we had is that we couldn’t get back into the room on our last night as somehow the security latch managed to activate itself, which should be impossible. Staff were great dealing with the issue but had to use hammer and chisel to obtain access, took about 30 mins....

"Great place for young couples on city break or mingling professionals. Wouldn’t recommend to older couples or to families. Lounge is a good vibe though table service could be more attentive. Beds are a bit soft for my liking personally. Showers are amazing!"
