"Reception staff were pleasant, though noticeably lacking in basic local knowledge, such as the location of nearby bus stops. The room allocated did not match the full sea view room that had been paid for, and although £50 was deducted from the bill, this did not adequately compensate for the downgrade. "A lovely warm welcome (home made cookies!) and a very comfortable stay. The room was spacious, beds huge, bathroom accessible, bathroom products divine, and there was lots of storage space. Walking distance to the beach and to The Ship Inn, and easy driving distance to other interesting places to visit: Felbrigg Hall, Holt, Blakeney (seal safari) and Wells Next The Sea all worth a visit. Breakfast was lovely and service excellent."

"Lovely 3 night stay. Rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. We booked two rooms and were assigned one in the courtyard and one in the main building. Bathroom in the courtyard room was significant bigger but otherwise rooms were comparable. Great location. Definitely recommend booking with breakfast included. "The rooms were good. Liked the dog bed and treats waiting for the pups. The cleanliness of the room was great, the furniture in the bar was a bit stained but as most of the people were dog lovers or hikers so we didn’t really see the problem as we are all covered in one thing or another!! The hotel website says that the kitchen is open until 9pm Monday to Saturday. We checked in at about 3.30pm on Friday, unpacked, took a stroll with the pups and headed to the bar. "my husband and i enjoyed our stay. Set in a lovely position on the cliff above the beach the grounds were lovely with ample seating outside. All staff were friendly and helpful which contributed greatly to our enjoyment in the hotel. Would stay here again."

"Generally very good, however there was a few disappointing things such as the bed wasn't particularly comfortable, the room was a bit small and tired, the black pudding at breakfast wasn't cooked properly (it was like rubber), also olive oil and balsamic should not be pre-mixed let people adjust the ratio to their taste.
