"We stayed 1 night only in the deluxe standard cabin on Jan 7. The room has an unique design, but very small with 1 queen bed, 2 chairs, 1 small table and mini kitchen cabinet (water boiler, toaster, cup, glass, plate are available with free tea-coffee-choc). Shared bathroom-toilet-kitchen are clean. But uncomfortable if in the night you need to go to toilet, you must walk around 2 minutes, and very cold outside! "Everything about this hotel is a gold star, despite the bathrooms being slightly outdated and the road to get there semi isolated for food options. This is a great place for a night or even a week! The staff were friendly, and so were the ducks and eels! We were fortunate to see the lunar eclipse right from their hand built trail, and only wish we could have stayed longer. "

"The unit was musty when we arrived. Had to open all doors and windows to get fresh air in the room, looking back we should have gone to management and swapped rooms. Signs of mould on ceilings. Mattress is that springy it sags in the middle. Would not stay there again. Room number 2."

"The staff were wonderful. We were late in arriving but staff made the check-in process smooth and easy. We were in unit 1 which has a view of the bay and a wonderful outside sitting area with a bbq. Linens were nice and beds comfortable. The heat pump worked well when we needed air conditioning or heat. The staff were very helpful during an unusual heavy rainfall event to make sure we were safe and had everything we needed. We would stay again if we are back in the area. Hot water beach and...

"Pleasant stay at Hahei. The location is strategic, walking distance to the Hahei Beach. The Studio is nice, it has a small kitchen and dining table for 2 persons.Since my stay was not in peak season(Winter time), it was quiet at night and you can hear the waves sound from the beach. Overall, recommended!"

"Well maintained property, close to Tairua town. The one bedroom unit had all amenities needed for a 3 night stay. Owner is friendly and communicative. We also got to use the bikes for free and I believe t hey also let you use kayaks for free. "
