"We love this place but it is getting tired. The maintenance is in need of an uplift and the rooms and lounge areas need a refit. Still a lovely stay and Sindhu was excellent for lunch. The reception staff for the hotel were OK but lacked motivation to welcome their guests with any enthusiasm. Breakfast was excellent and the setting for the hotel sets this apart from most."

"Clean room exactly as described, and the breakfast was great! A little disappointed that the pool was under refurbishment so we couldn’t use it (and we weren’t made aware beforehand) but it’s something to look forward to next time! Parking was a £7.50 for overnight which was fair, but would be a bit expensive if staying for multiple nights. Location was great for access to the centre - would recommend."

"My room (caramel) was huge! Clean and comfortable, though slightly difficult shutting the door with the big curtain behind it. One star deducted for no fan, no one told me the wifi password when I arrived, and there was no cereal or fruit left by 9am for breakfast on Sunday. My parents also paid £30 a night to have their dog in their room yet there wasn’t so much as a dog bowl included, so they could do better on that front."

"The property is very clean, beautiful and well refurbished and right in the heart of Marlow. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food itself (breakfast) was a bit poor but OK. We didn't have any hot water to take a shower unfortunately but stayed only 1 night anyway. The room itself which was the only one available during booking was very very snug and air circulation at night made a bit stuffy but we would visit again , hopefully get a bigger room and hot water."

"The room was very hot no Airton The emergency green light was on at night and I didn't sleep because of it Paid extra for grandson to stay over extra bed and breakfast he didn't sleep because his bed was directly under the green light and whe we went for breakfast to be told that they had no record od this I had paid 17.85 extra went to reception and they suddenly found the booking Finally the green light went out one morning and a bright white light came on at 4.50am to let me no the there had...

"9 Rooms above a pub! What more can you ask for. Great food and drink and the staff is outstanding!"

"I've stayed here a couple of times and it's a pretty good hotel, it's basic and could do with a couple of pictures to break up the white walls in the rooms. My room was clean and tidy, clean bedding and a decent size. Although it definitely needed maintenance to go in and give it a bit of a going over. Curtains needed re hanging and for some reason in the middle of a hot spell the bathroom heating was full blast... Reception was friendly. I would happily stay again when I'm working that way."
