"The hotel is ina quiet part of Unawatuna. You wake to the sound of the waves. Peacocks and moneys are all around. The pool is lovely and restaurant has good food/ drinks and service. The reception staff were fabulous and took care of all my needs. "

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"Fantastic paradise right on the beach. Close enough to all the tourism and excitement, but far enough away to have true peace and tranquility. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and the reason I will absolutely come back. "

Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. "I spent 2 blissful nights relaxing here in a panoramic ocean view room which definitely lived up to its name with spectacular views free rom large windows and a balcony. The restaurant and rooftop bar/ lounge are super friendly and the live music on one night was amazing! The infinity rooftop pool was refreshing and again... those views is Hotel has an elevator which is an added bonus too and there is a free shuttle to Jungle Beach!"

"Levels was amazing! Its quaint atmosphere was so very inviting and the staff was truly so hospitable and AMAZING! The rooms were clean, spacious and the views were out of this world. We were provided exceptional service from Kumara, Rasika,Thilina, Sehan yasmka and chef sujith. They were friendly and kind, and the food prepared by chef Sujith was so so delicious — authentic Sri Lankan food to innovative new creations, he can do it all. "One of few hotels with its almost private beach. Boutique but a little rough around the edges - so what if nothing is perfect - this isn’t Maldives. Great food, really friendly staff. No loud music and respectful guests. They are offering a great product, that’s why guests return. Easy tuktuk to busier area and boats to take you elsewhere. We were genuinely sad to leave. "

"This hotel is one of a kind, the staff is incredible, the views out of this world! The room was honestly my favourite of any place I’ve stayed in all my travels. Clearly next level design and architecture in a very subtle and tasteful way. The spa treatment was wonderful and the cooking class under the banyan tree was magical. I wish I had stayed longer and definitely will next time I am back. I can’t express how fantastic this hotel is thank you for making us feel like home ❤️"

"Nice facility, our room was fairly unique with some fake rock. Our daughter's room had a cool outdoor bathtub. You get great use of two other Thambapanni resorts in the area. Rooms are large and interesting. Very musty. The air conditioner needed to be maintained to keep mildew out. Clothes drying rack, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Super accommodating staff. Unawatuna is a bit of a Russian tourist trap. Aggressive tuktuk drivers and merchants. Jungle Beach nice but crowded. The Sea Waves...

"At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."

"We really enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel. It has a really quiet and tranquil setting on a nice stretch of beach. There were a number of turtles in the sea just by the hotel. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had some nice meals at the property. Highly recommended. "

"Where to start, these guys cancelled our entire booking because we were late for check in leaving us stuck in a monsoon with our 3 month old infant. When we finally got into the property the next day, a solid hardwood curtain rod fell on my partners head who was holding our kid. Very luckily only she was hurt. The restaurant was basically not working. The bar was shut. I get that its the off season but say this in your booking profile. When we decided to leave after 1 night to head to Unawatuna they agreed to give us a refund on the nights we would miss. As soon as we left that was the last we heard from them and they refused to action the refund. All in all, about as bad as you can get. "
