"If you love a rustic, quiet setting by the lake and not be annoyed by the lack of 'newness' or up-to-date appliances and amenities then this is the place for you. However, at this time - mid-June 2026 - there is EXTENSIVE construction going on on the main road (Paul Bunyan Rd). The entire street is dug up, making accessing the hotel very difficult. "I plan to stay here again. My wife and I take a drive every year to see the fall colors. My opinion, this is the only place to stay in Bemidji. Fact is, now I look to stay at Hilton Double Tree locations wherever we travel to. (stayed at one in Denver this past June.
