"The only issue is that they really didn’t clean the room well. Staff was great, right in the beach. Cool outside bar and sitting area. Recommend staying there but get better with cleaning the rooms"

"Enjoyed our stay . Definitely old school lodge. If rustic is what you are looking for! Bar and food hit the spot after along drive. Staff were great! Room was very 70’s but clean. Only complaint was you shared a bathroom with neighboring room. Didn’t see that til way after I booked. Ok if you know who is next door. Being 2 gals, wasn’t comfortable for me."

"The room was very clean and had all the amenities a person would need. The bed was very comfortable, the selection of channels on the tv was great, the coffee and tea selection was good, having a microwave and refrigerator was great. Highly recommend this property when traveling."

"When they say 3:00 check in they mean it. We arrived at 2:00 to see if we could check in early. There was no one to talk to. We called the # posted at the front desk but it went right to voicemail. When we returned around 3:00 a very nice staff person was there. Our room was very clean, bed comfortable but dated, carpet needs replacing, air conditioning worked well. We liked being downtown & the River Walk. Due to city construction projects we found it difficult to find parking."

"A nice quiet Motel in a secluded location, where you can get some Sleep, without being disturbed."

"We enjoyed our stay. Especially the sunset bonfires. The home itself was a bit underwhelming. It looked like it could use a power washing that looked like there was possibly some mildew all around the exterior of the home. The inside was nice and mostly clean but you can tell that there was some shortcuts taken. All in all I'd say it was a good experience"

"The room was clean and nicely decorated but initially the tv's were not working in either the bedroom or living room. We discovered batteries missing in some of the remotes and called Duncan, who drove to Portage Point from an off-site location. He was unable to find a store open to buy batteries, but we ended up with 2 AA and 2 AAA to at least get the bedroom tv to work. The living room tv was "unable to access" Spectrum. "

"The beautiful add .is blind sided to the beach made it seem like we could see the beach and a short walk .i love manistee and i would suggest staying somewhere else the neighbors were rude "

"It’s secluded for sure. Comfy beds and furniture, clean bathroom. Kitchen dishes and pots and pans had to be clean before use, but all and all we had an enjoyable time here."
