"Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes"

"on the second day of my stay when I got back in the evening, I found the room not done and dirty. Asked them, the staff member told me that housekeeping happens every third day of the stay and is done on demand for a charge. To which I pointed out the expedia note on the daily housekeeping. BS at best."

"Nice hotel, literally in the center of it all (think of Times Square busy) it can be a bit much. Cars also can only drop you off at the corner so be prepared to carry your luggage through those crowds for a block. The hotel was very nice, however I didn’t feel as safe there. Reason being is that because it’s so central anyone can walk in. "This new hotel is everything I would want a hotel in amsterdam would be. It s modern minimalist, amazing view and the receptionist is also pretty kind to let us check in early. Totally reccomended , I would stay here again"

"Hotel and staff were great. They have a refrigerator to store your purchased cheese, there is no fridge in the rooms. It would be nice if they had travel size shampoo and conditioner. Our room, #5, has a nice view of the canal."

"The staff cleaning the rooms are not up to par , They remove towels but don’t replace , tissues and paper not replaced , box s of hotel amenities empty(repair kit, shoe polish cloth). Same bed shears , and they were stained and put to be seen , not replaced . A full day to get towels brought to the room.
