"Unfortunately, our two-week stay was quite disappointing, mainly due to the food and poor organisation. The biggest problem was that there simply wasn’t enough food for all the guests. "We had a lovely stay at the Baraza Resort. Although the beach, villa and food were top notch, it is the staff that deserve six stars! The entire staff are so wonderful and cater to your every need. This was the perfect stop after 8 days of Safari before our long journey home. I can’t recommend the hotel more highly. We also enjoyed the spa which was fabulous."

"If you want to enjoy beaches on the East coast of Zanzibar, which are clean and not overcrowded, Breezes in Dongwe is a good place to go. For a half board and not an all inclusive hotel, Breezes is relatively expensive in comparison, because the room rates are high and you will pay every lunch and every drink extra. "We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel. Its in a good location, and right on the beach making it easy to explore the local attractions, take boat trips and visit the nearby village. The staff were all really helpful, attentive and friendly. The pool and grounds are well maintained and the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. "The inside looks amazing but it’s located in the middle of a slum which shook me a little bit their breakfast was great , the inside of the hotel was beautiful and the staff was respectful. Only problem is it being in a slum full of locals which was unexpected."
