Cari Hotel di Matera

"We had a suite that was one of the rooms that were directly inside of the main part and it was absolutely stunning. I was a little unsure at first of staying in a cave being claustrophobic, but our room had 2 sets of windows and it was perfect The spa is exactly how it looks in the pictures. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful."

"Such a special hotel in one of the most gorgeous cities we’ve ever visited. Staying in a hotel built right into the cave made our whole experience in Matera feel even more incredible. Everything about it was breathtaking and unique, and it was definitely worth the stay. The spa in the basement was also such a nice bonus — especially after walking up and down all those hills! We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back."

"Sextantio Le Grotte della Civita was one of the most memorable stays of our entire Italy trip. Staying in a beautifully restored historic cave in the heart of Matera was such a unique and magical experience. Breakfast was also fantastic, with fresh local food and excellent service. The location in the Sassi is...

"Precioso hotel, de lo mejor que hemos visitados, su dueña encantadora"

"The hotel was absolutely wonderful, with friendly staff, a lovely atmosphere, and an enjoyable stay, so I gave it five stars. The breakfast was very good, though it would be even better with a selection of cheese and nuts served with the yogurt. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would happily recommend this hotel."

"Loved our stay."

"I can't think of anything that could be better about the Corte San Pietro — this hotel was wonderful and I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff and service were phenomenal, the room and property were amazing, breakfast was delicious, and the location is perfect for exploring the old town/Sassi. Romantic and great for couples!"

"Brilliant hotel has everything needed, unfortunately they was doing works on bottom floor but can only imagine how beautiful it will look when done. Reception staff could be a little more friendly as I did ask a question one morning about getting to a town and had eyes rolled at me. But overall clean and nice hotel definitely want to return."
