"This hotel in nothing more than several rotted out cabins on the hill. The site says a 2 star hotel, it is not a one star by anyone's measure. If you do not have a jeep 4 wheel drive do not attempt to drive down to the hotel. We booked this and went to the hotel. The area was closed, due to volcanic activity, but since we had a reservation the police let us pass. I started down the road, stopped and walked over 800 meters to the lodge. "Hotel close to the airport. We stayed for 1 night because we had an early flight. They offer shuttle service to the airport which was great. We were able to walk to a close by bar to watch the Costa Rica football game. Very safe to walk and restaurants and bars close by. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is very minimal but is enough to fill you up. This is our 2nd time staying there for 1 night. Very convenient."
