"This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable. "Staff met you at the front, Spanish-speaking only but super nice. The room was fantastic when we stayed. It was a little bit colder so there was a space heater. There’s a menu in the room for options for meals. We didn’t partake in any of this, but it was great to know that we had a food available if needed. "This hotel is basic, a room and a private bathroom, but that is all we needed. We were there one night as a waystation to where we were going from the airport. There was no staff on site at night or in the morning when we were there. I don't speak Spanish. Fortunately another guest helped us arrange a taxi to our car rental. Note: This room does not have any view from a window except of the wall of the building next door six inches away. "

"This was a lovely place to spend our first couple of nights in Costa Rica after a long flight. The grounds were beautiful and the breakfasts were great, as was our evening meal. The accommodation felt vibrant and Costa Rican, which we loved, but could do with a little updating. However, it was still a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. We really enjoyed the coffee tour and would highly recommend it."
