"The resort is located in a good location at the southern part of the mainland, with a public beach just two steps away. The beauty of the public beach being so close is that guests can choose between the resort beach or public beach, but the public cannot use the resort beach. The resort was well kept and the beach clean. Breakfast was a good selection. I would however recommend fresh fruit juice is available. My overwater bungalow was lagoon view, not much privacy, but that is how the bungalows...

"I am glad we booked St Regis for the stay. The resort is just amazing. We booked the lagoon side, over water bungalow. The water was so calm that you could swim in it anytime of the day. We saw sun rise every morning from the bedroom. The resort staff were very friendly and helpful with just about anything you could think of. And the food was amazing. "Nicest OWB we have stayed in the French Polynesia! Staff was excellent and quite beautiful location. Only thing we would have changed a little was some additional lunch and dinner options at the restaurant. Food was excellent, breakfast included, just was looking for salads and more simple things. " Great place to stay on the island. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it’s just a 15-minute walk to Matira Beach, as well as great dining spots like Lucky House. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. Breakfast has limited options, and the menu is fairly simple, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby to explore, so it’s not a major issue. "The resort was above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - especially the fresh pastries and the omelette bar manned by Heinz. The snorkeling right off shore was fabulous. If we ever are able to return to Moorea, we will definitely stay at the Sofitel Kia Ora again!"

"Property was nice but definitely an older property. Run down. Needs a face lift and upgrade. We upgraded to the premium room and it was just ok. It was 2 stories which’s worked for us but probably should have been noted. It was kinda inconvenient having the 2 nd floor, getting the suitcases up there and constantly going up and down. But awesome views. The room was old looking. Overall just needs to be updated. The fridge was tiny. Nothing fit in it. Hotel needs ice machines. Maybe another...
