Cari Hotel di Schoharie County

"I booked this place last minute to escape torrential rain while camping. My car was packed with soaking wet gear so I couldn’t be picky. This place was 20 minutes from the campground. The good-the place is quiet, the water is hot and the bed was comfortable. The bad- the floors are vinyl tile and were not the cleanest, the room layout was odd-there was a big open space in the middle of the room and the minimal furniture was against the walls. The window and table and chairs were about 8-10 feet...

"The beauty and unique history of the property"

"Interior and exterior needs updating."

"It was a very nice and clean room."

"I've debated writing this review, but I need to say that the place is just not safe. I had to move rooms twice because the door locks didn't work and the ground-floor window wouldn't close... let alone lock. And that's not even talking about the beer bottle caps left on the room floor, the general layer of filth everywhere, the wet towels left from the previous guest, the rusted out showerhead, or the mouse poop behind the nightstand. The staff are really nice people, it's just a very dirty...

"Delightful experience, like stepping back in time - you could let your imagination flyI"

"Room was clean for the most part, bed was comfortable but up fairly high so it's hard for a short person like me to get into. Wifi was okay, not great, but I'm not sure if that's because I was on an upper floor. I wish the person who checked me in would have explained something, anything about the breakfast, amenities or even where the elevator is, I had to ask basic questions that should have been told to me at check in. Cleaning staff is very friendly and didn't rush me to leave. Breakfast was...

"This hotel was awful. First of all, there's no lighting at the entry road to the hotel and you can't see it until you're passed it so we missed the road trying to get in and had to turn around and we still couldnt see it and almost missed it again. If we didnt have a gps, we never would have found it. There was barely any parking. The front desk staff looked about 12 to 15 and was extremely unhelpful. The front desk wouldn't give us any towels or paper towels even though I explained my water...

"The hotel has a nice restaurant, bar area and outside firepit area. Everything seemed clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that I booked a room with two double beds via Expedia and received a confirmation back that the room had two double beds. When I called the hotel, however, they said there were no rooms with two double beds and instead the room had one double bed and pull-out couch with could serve as another bed if needed. I said that is not what I booked...

"Everything was wonderful. The staff was exceptionally kind and courteous very knowledgeable. Parking was good and the room was clean."

"Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!"

"There is no way they should charge what they charged for 1 night stay. "
