While the AC Hotel was nice enough, it was a bit further out from the historic district. Next trip, I would select a hotel closer to the historic district since we spent a lot of time there. "While the hotel is very nice my experience was not. I checked in and was given a key to my room. My husband and I decided to go grab food and explore the town before returning to the room with our luggage. Imagine our surprise when we go to the room, open the door and some other guests were in our assigned room. I was shocked and embarrassed to walk into a room that already occupied by another guest. "This is a hotel that is now really run down. The room smelled stale. The windows are permanently sealed. The shower did not work properly. The plugs are in weird places. The gym is run down and shabby. The elevators are under repair. The service in the bar was slow. The whole place just feels tired and musty. I am lazy and generally do not write reviews but this place needs a wake up call."

"The rooms are big which is nice, they connect so great for a big family like mine. But pray you don't have car trouble here after already being here for 4 days spending hundreds of dollars on 3 rooms. They asked us to not work on our van during the day it looks bad, so my husband would wait til late at night to attempt to do it.=That was not allowed. "The St. George Inn was wonderful - right in the heart of the historic colonial district. When we arrived a little early, the staff handled our luggage and took it to our room while we parked offsite.
