"My husband was deployed on the Gaan Fire and actually had a few hours to sleep and take a shower so I booked this hotel for him. The floors were sticky and he felt unsafe taking his boots off. The shower had mold in it. Basically was better than the dirt or hosed of a truck. While he didn’t use the pool on his short stay, he said it needed some love and maintenance. Very disappointed"

"Built in the 1850's. I think it was restored in the 1960's or 70s. Well worn and under the weather, but clean. Problems with air conditioners, TV didn't work. Good price though, if you want something out of the ordinary. Breakfast was nice. Seemed like only one man was working, doing front desk, breakfast, laundry etc. Many steps to go up and down. Pool seemed nice, people were using it. Seemed like a few safety issues on the railings and balcony, but a local told me it is a historic building...

"Affordable, comfortable, and convenient stay 20 mins from the Big Oak Flat Entrance to Yosemite. Check in and out is done at the Yosemite West Gate Lodge on the other end of the parking lot. Amenities are also at the Lodge (we used the ice machine, the pool looked nice). The room had a microwave, Keurig coffee machine, and a small fridge (though the temp was warm, we kept our food in our cooler). Not fancy, but works for a quick sleep before heading into the park."
