"I have used this hotel very often in the past But I was shocked how there Standards have dropped. The flood was very poor the service very poor.The lack of singning for there different areas none existent. The room very nice for normal users but for some disabled like me it was a night mare. There was a lack handrails in the shower the shower was fixed and did not detach from the fitted so was to high, Lack of places to put soap bags had to put them on the floor. The radiators were so hot they...

"First time we’ve stayed here , and being relatively local, visit Newcastle often. The hotel is classy and comfortable, with brilliant staff . A few minutes walk to the Glasshouse and located on the quayside with some great restaurants and bars nearby. Parking was easy with hotel reserved parking at the rear of the hotel. Without a doubt, this will be our first choice for overnighters in Newcastle."

"Good location on the river and close to the city though there are many stairs to climb. Breakfast and evening meals were tasty and good value. Carpark access is via an external small lift."

"The room was good with a comfy bed, clean bathroom room , shower with hot water etc. Mini bar was useful and not stupidly expensive. Could do with some better glasses for drinks. Staff were all friendly and offered luggage service. Breakfast was nice if not spectacular. Decor around the building could do with updating but otherwise a good place. Would go there again."

"The curtains in my room were too small for the window by about 12 inches letting light in at 04.30am, the sink was cracked in the bathroom, the tiles were cracked and dangerous (sharp bits) the carpet was filthy and communal areas filthy. I stop in hotels every week and never leave a review but this was terrible"

"Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Located very close to both the station and the centre of Newcastle, with shops and lots of cafes etc. Grey Street has the best historic architecture in Newcastle so very pleasant surroundings. Highly recommended."

"Hotel was modern, clean with excellent facilities. Just a couple of pointers. The two rooms our family occupied had not main lights and one had a lamp and the other didn't. Other internal phone didn't work for room service so used hotel's internal WhatsApp to order. Breakfast was excellent and catered for all diets (including vegan and vegetarian)."

"Very handy for the stadium and student parents staying over. Only stayed one night for a nearby wedding so didn't really use any of the facilities. We moved rooms as club across the road is so noisy, it can be heard in the front rooms. Second room was a big upgrade and very quiet. Staff were very helpful in this respect. Avoided breakfast at £19.00 each and walked to the Greggs instead. Parked at the Temple car park which was very reasonable but not ideal if you are unable to walk too far or...

"The Hampton at Newcastle is literally across the road from the main train Station and Metro, so that is a big bonus. The Hotel Room was very good and tea/coffee facilities in room. Staff were most helpful and very pleasant. Idea and no complaints."
