"I have stayed at Fernwood Manor for many years and the standards are always excellent. The staff are so helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast is legendary and always freshly cooked. The gardens are immaculate and the poll - devine. I cannot recommend it highly enough ! "

"The Newlands Guest House, a charming place built in 1836, has all necessary modern amenities including a swimming pool. Sarah and John, the proprietors, were the perfect hosts. They were very friendly & helpful with info about local places to see & dine at. We began each morning with a hearty meal, with hot & cold selections. Our room was very spacious and clean. "Quarto n. 3 é talvez o mais desajeitado da casa. A disposição do mobiliario não ajuda. Falta espaco para as malas e boa circulação. Poderiam rever e melhorar. Banheiro tinha ruido intenso do circulador de ar..enfim, sentimos que fatou manutenção. Esta foi nossa segunda estadia na casa pq gostamos do sistema e do chatme da casa e localização. Local tranquilo e solencioso com vista privilegiafa da montanha. Vale conhecer e voltariamos, se em outro quarto. A casa tem 6."

"The flat was extremely cute -- very nicely decorated. The kitchen was very functional and had all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils we could want. I cooked several full course meals -- totally from scratch -- during my stay with no problem. The only problems we had were: 1) The television/internet were a bit unreliable and difficult to work at times; and 2) hate to say it, but we found two tiny roaches in the room, which seemed to be lethargic and half dead, so maybe there was some kind of...

"This is a comfortable place to stay close to the heart of Cape Town. It is a pair of Victorian houses bonded together and retains much of the charm of that period. The rooms are large and comfortable. The TV system is poor (effectively only some news stations of use). The breakfast was adequate, but some ingredients were dried out. Parking is tight. Michelle was a gracious and helpful host. The best, however is the central, quiet location with easy access to most of what Cape Town has to offer. "
