"Loved staying in the huts, the whole place is very pretty with the ponds, mountains and fairy lights. Breakfast was good with multiple options, staff were lovely and helpful, cheap bike rental. Location is a bit further out so did have to use grab & scooter to get around. Offered day tours which we didn’t do"
"The rooms themselves are really clean but the toilet and bathroom area in the lobby is flooded / gross which really sucks for anyone not checking in immediately :("
"This place holds a special place in my heart. I booked at the last minute after changing my plans stayed for a week and spent my 50th birthday here. I had been on an escorted tour which i spontaneously left as it wasn’t as expected and randomly chose Ninh Binh and this hotel as a destination for some down time; I’d never heard of either the town or hotel a few days before which now feels unreal as they’re both so vast and beautiful that I can’t believe more people don’t know about them. I had a few issues at the beginning due to some ongoing health/stress issues (exacerbated by the tour, so I really wanted some down time) which meant I was grouchy about ongoing conference and construction noise on site, and about the fact that the rooftop pool/bar was closed. The construction noise IS a bit annoying, but I learned to live with the timings and sleep around it (early to bed, early to rise), however the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of the team and comfort of the room made up for it. The rooms are huge and very well equipped with shower and freestanding bath with a view, minibar, large beds and comfy bedding. Apart from the construction noise it’s very quiet and you cannot hear noise from other rooms. The breakfast buffet was huge. A couple of things to improve: more vegan/veggie options maybe and also keep the coffee and food warm and fresh. The buffet ends early at 9am and as most guests are on tours they tend to eat early and there are fewer people around after 8am"
"Hotel was fine for the price. Breakfast catered mainly for Chinese & Vietnamese tourists. Bathroom was flooded after every shower which took some time for the water to go.

"Overall nice place to stay, however, be aware that the location is quite remote and you will need transportation to go anywhere. The staff were lovely and the food was home cooked and excellent. Some of the best food we have had in Vietnam.
The drinks menu was very limited. Just beer really. There is no bar. Our room was lovely, but it was very dark inside. We couldn’t actually see much whilst getting ready in the evening. Also, the water pressure was so low that we couldn’t use the beautiful bath that was in our room or have a shower one evening, as there was only a trickle of water coming out. I don’t want to be negative about those things, but they do need rectifying for the price you are paying.
The pool was nice."
"Great hotel.
Lovely staff.
Stunning location. The lights around the property and the greenery just made it so special.
We stayed in the big double room next to the playground (2 adults, 6yo, 4mo baby). No cot so we made a floor bed with extra bedding on floor for 4 month old baby.
Lovely having the swimming pool.
Taxis knew location and easy to use grab to come collect you."
