"The room was a good size and comfortable. We are there in the evening. Food was cooked well. We enquired what time breakfast was and where we ate. We were told between 9-11am downstairs in bar restaurant. We went downstairs at 9-15 am only to find the place deserted!! Absolutely no one to be found. Apparently our breakfast was a bunch of bananas, some apples, cereal bar and a pot if granola in a small fridge left on the landing. No milk!! On Expedia it stated breakfast was included with photos...

"The hotel was quite booked up, so we had 2 rooms over a 3-day weekend and our baggage was transferred with no fuss or problems. Both rooms were clean, roomy and contained everything we needed, including a much-needed fan as the weather headed for a heatwave! Breakfast was lovely (we had a full English). The staff and the manager, Peter, were very friendly and helpful and made sure we were feeling happy about our stay at all times. A very nice place to stay while we visited one of our sons who...

"Very basic hotel, check in was very limited with no info on hotel dining or other facilities. Not shown to the room and found no hand soap in bathroom. There was shower gel and shampoo. The room overlooked outside drinking and smoking area and could smell smoke if window open. All furniture was old and some pieces had been mended. Floor boards loose in some places. Admittedly the building is old and has character, but TLC required. "
