"Key essentials are very good - hot strong shower, comfortable beds. Room decor is in need of some attention, but it is big site and understandably difficult to keep on top of. Not really an issue. Front facing rooms have great views, but road traffic can start early. Otherwise was very quiet. Would recommend."

"Charming hotel in the center of Cirencester with friendly staff. Rooms are on the small side but have everything you need. Note that there is no A/C but there was a fan in my room that kept things pleasantly cool. There is no lift so rooms may not be accessible for everyone (but they can help you carry your suitcases to the room). "Interesting rambling hotel built into the hillside, resulting in multiple steps up to the bedrooms. Excellent restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. Minor niggles on the plumbing & shower: the cold pipe appear to be bundled with the hot and produces tepid water unless run for a long time - not ideal in a heatwave. The soap dispensers are about head level that make them awkward to operate. A lower location would be better. No basket or shelf in the shower for flannel or own soap or shampoo."

"Our bedroom was tastefully decorated and clean. It was a spacious room, with a good ensuite bathroom. The bed was comfortable, with nice bedding. The breakfast menu was exrensive, with some great options. Our food was well cookwd and tasty. All of the hotel.staff were friendly, professional and helpful"
