"It was raining heavily the day that we arrived at Kyoto and our original room had a bit of a musty smell to it. Once we brought it up to the front desk, the manager was so helpful and accommodating and was able to move us to a different room. They even bought us a cake to apologize for the inconvenience which is service we are not typically used to in the US. "The location is excellent. It is just across from Exit 4 of the station, with a hotel right opposite. The design is modern, smart, and very well thought out. We really liked everything about it except the room size. We only brought two small suitcases, but even those were hard to fit inside the room. It was quite difficult to move around or open the luggage fully. Apart from that, everything else was great and very well designed."

I wondered how the living arrangement was before coming, but we came as recommended before 19:30 for check-in, so there were no problems with that.
