"Rooms very super clean. We stayed in rm. 411 and the outdoor onsen was indescribably amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer shuttle within the onsen area which is super helpful. The onsen experience was amazing. Tho’ a bit pricey, I will definitely stay here again as a treat. The Kaseiki dinner was also amazing. It was a lot of food. Almost like tapas as there are many small portions (11 courses in total). After dinner, another onsen. Out of this world experience!"

"Wonderfully located in the heart of the Gion District. Quint, quiet and clean. The Dinner was above and beyond expectations. Culinary experience for sure. So much history all around. Just step out the door and you are there."

"We loved the way the room was decorated and appreciated every piece of art work throughout the place. All the stuff was exceptionally kind and the meal was so beautifully presented. We also appreciated the owner’s efforts to reduce the use of plastic. Standing for 800 years, and this place made me feel deeply nostalgic as I imagined the Fudal lord Nobunaga bathing here. Thank you so much and we would love to visit Tocen - San again."
