"Have just spent a wonderful two nights at Sturdy Castle. Perfect location to explore the stunningly beautiful Cotswolds. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the reception and restaurant area was and how lovely the staff were. Offered option of breakfast and evening meal which we booked. The rooms were located at the back of the hotel ,so nice and quiet and spotlessly clean with everything that we needed.
Dinner was lovely with friendly staff happy to talk through both the pub classic menu and the Indian menu. We had the steak and ale pie which was home made and delicious followed by cheesecake. Had food envy ,despite ours being more than enough , as other customers had the very interesting biryani served in a pie crust! So much so that we skipped a big dinner at Clarksons farm so we could come back and try the Indian cuisine. Best decision of the day as it was amazing.
Slept super well on lovely comfy beds, had a leisurely coffee before heading home to Dover.
Would highly recommend this gem of a hotel and the staff who really make it a joy to stay. Well done all. Thank you and we will definitely be back."
