"As first time travellers to Palm Cove we had high expectations but disappointed at the Aging of the Peppers Resort. Overall the resort is good but needs work and upgrades. Staff were very helpful and friendly. If you have difficulties with climbing stairs then choose a room with a lift or other."

"Harbourside Hotel is directly across the street from the beautiful (waterfront) esplanade, which we walked each night of our stay. Richard at the front desk was very welcoming and provided helpful dining suggestions. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of food options."

The property and rooms are pretty old - they do not look as new as the nice photos you see here. If you have a room on the street side, you will have quite a lot of road noise and light at night so bring earplugs and an eye mask. "Lovely appointed hotel at the quiet end of The Esplanade closer to the airport. The front rooms are well appointed, but located directly above the restaurant so be prepared for noise. The nearby hospital (chopper) also adds to the noise. The staff were very helpful with luggage as there are no lifts. We felt the room was given a basic clean from the previous occupants because we were only staying one night. The floor was dirty and sticky and amenities not topped up. "Room was a good size. All taps were leaking. BBQ had run out of gas. Hot plate in room was difficult to use, with numbers not readable and no instructions to use it. No dish cloth. Trouble using the air conditioning. Lots of dirt around bathroom taps. Freezer in fridge almost frozen up completely."

"Modern hotel, well presented with easy access to its own eateries and the many offerings close by. Only downsides were a restricted number of car parks which meant our car was out on the street all night; and the lighting in the room is very subtle with a lack of bright lighting if you are doing make up as an example. Second time we have stayed and we will go back but will need to get there early to get a car parks"
