On the arrival the staff were really pleasant and welcoming, a really quick check in. Went to the room (100) and it was warm and comfortable. The only down side was the noise from the restaurant and music below, it did go off at a respectable time tho, but then came on early for breakfast.
That’s the down side so avoid room 100 and you will be fine.
Well the greatest asset is the restaurant and the staff. Amazing food. Sadly the accommodation is very poor. Room was very tired, bath badly scratched, shower pressure ridiculously low, black hair on bath, mattress you can feel all springs, rattling sash windows, one broken sash cord on window, wallpaper peeling in multiple places, no hot water to sink, laminate damaged and lifting in multiple areas in main area. Such a shame.
Our booking included breakfast but when we went down in the morning for breakfast we were told they weren’t serving breakfast due to the COVID 19 outbreak. I am type 1 diabetic and had taken my injection of insulin in our bedroom before we went downstairs. We were not told this when we checked in and I had to dash in the car into the town centre to go somewhere for breakfast before I ended up having a hypo. Also, although our room wasn’t too bad the exterior of the hotel looked shabby and the car park was like a waste ground.
We arrived late after long journey the front door locked we rang the bell, WE WERE MET BY A LOVELY MAN WHO COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR US TO MAKE OUR STAY PLEASANT. Breakfast A1+. Staff very pleasant, The old building has real class. We will sty there again.
Nothing really reception area and bar was nice the room was we had disgusting it smelt of smoke it got masked with spray but the room still smelt the next day im afraid to say will not be staying again

The room & decor was a little tired and requires updating/maintenance but we booked the room as somewhere to collapse Into at the end of a busy night- which it served its purpose. Could have been a more comfortable stay. There were no blinds in the bathroom just a net curtain which was lacking in privacy. We had a corner room so had two windows which were single glazed and letting in the noise from the outside main road and cold draft - The room had only one radiator. There were tears in the net curtain at the window- luckily the curtains blocked this out. On asking the staff if there were any shower caps available- they were very quick to tell us they weren’t a luxury hotel

It needs sourcing up outside. Paintwork needs updating
Loud music coming from staff area night and very early in the morning !!
When arrived had to get rid of 6 blue bottles flying around the room , room was freezing and had to use a cheap stand alone heater to warm it up !
The room was dirty actually had marks on lamp and on the walls and on the bed covers plus the throw over the bed too !
Even a bug of some kind on lamp shade late at night I had to kill and got covered in loads of dust.
Car park a building site rubbish everywhere !
Don’t stay here
Really disappointed from the reviews it was obvious the property had been in a run down situ and was been done up. We had two rooms one was really small but clean and warm the second room was much larger but had no hot water or any heating. We were not given any compensation for this and the beds need replacing could feel the springs very uncomfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful and said they would pass our comments on and get someone to have a look at the heating and hot water but this was no good when we were leaving they should have ensured they were working before our stay.

Hotel great location. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Room very tired. Bath panel stuck on with celotape. Holes in bed sheet but clean towels and room clean. So to get your head down its fine.
Friendly staff, good wifi, clean room, great breakfast. Massive car park, don't be put off by it looking like a derelict area. The location is right on a roundabout, so be prepared to turn quickly and for the sound of traffic through the night, depending on location of room. First time I've not had a kettle in the room, but iron and hairdryer there. Absolutely worth what I paid. Recommended.
Lovely little hotel very close to Doncaster Racecourse only a 3 min walk(was attending Crafting Live event). Will definitely be returning. Food at the Crab & Moo was excellent

Great welcome and room ckean and comfortable with everthing we needed. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Good choice on menu.
Outside of hotel does need some attention- we were slightly concerned on arrival even though i hsd looked at previous reviews. But once inside we were pleasantly surprised. Would stay again

A bit noisy near a major roundabout. Little bit ”tired” but very freindly and helpful staff. Perfect for the racecourse and lots of parking

Night away
Really noisy floor when walking, when using the bath we had a knock at the door because the room below was leaking despite the bath not even being half full, bed was rock hard and not pleasent at all and was kept awake until 4am people next door having rather loud sex and then coming in and out the room afterwardsbanging doors, wasn’t pleasent!! Restaurant is fabulous that’s the best part of this hotel
Stayed here previously. Good location and easy for parking.
Helpful and friendly courteous staff. Wonderful breakfast as well.
WiFi was not good at all with regular interruptions.
Otherwise all good.
The hotel was nice enough. However no air conditioning. Fan was too noisy to sleep. Room was fine.
The frying of the chicken Kiev was not nice. Never had fried chicken Kiev before. Far too greasy. It’s an oven dish!
