"Great stay at a great pub with good well priced food, room clean and well maintained. Only problems, finding somewhere to eat Monday night and as a business traveller would have like breakfast to be served a little earlier. Although the breakfast tray was good."

"The hotel was really a hostel and did not match up with images on their website. We were expecting to be staying in a country house hotel not a youth hostel. The only facility we had was wifi. The room was clean but very basic with no ability to make ourselves a tea or coffee without walking down two flights of very steep steps to the kitchen which was a health and safety nightmare - no idea why they could not have put a tea/ coffee station on the top floor. There was no television...

"Really friendly local pub, all staff friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Nice quiet area. The food was really good and the beds comfortable. Will definitely stay again next time we're in the area."

"Lovely family hotel, walking distance from the beach and town centre. The breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious and the parking was very useful."

"Fantastic breakfast and our hosts were brilliant, we will definitely return."

"The Hotel was fine and the evening meal was excellent the only let down was the fact that the hotel has stopped serving breakfasts and also the windows from my room could do with a good cleaning."

"Nice clean room, delicious English breakfast highly recommend"

"It was a pleasure to stay the night at the Town House, really lovely people and a bonus to chat over breakfast with another guest. A cosy, homely feel and definitely somewhere we'll book again"

"Nice old building but in need of repairs and updates, room wasn’t particularly clean, old windows with condensation and not be cleaned for a while ! Good breakfast, location not bad but a killer of a hill to get back up at night, was ok as a base but if looking for a special occasion I’d look elsewhere"

"Clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly staff and good breakfast."

"Super schönes und großes Zimmer. Leckeres Frühstück und freundliche Gastgeber. Parken in der Straße vor dem Haus kein Problem."

"Very close to Charmouth beach Great freshly cooked breakfast Ticked all the boxes Just a note re Charmouth there were no eateries open after 3pm on the days I was there admittedly out of season in October so either be prepared to drive or have snacks with you"

"This property is unique and rare - owned by an innkeeper who welcomes you to his table with warm hospitality and decades of history to share. Mr. Miller is a wealth of information and retired thatcher. This is not a place for you if you need a well-appointed hotel to feel good about leaving your home. This is a historic property with purbeck flag stones and Welsh slate on the kitchen floor. The stove is as wide as your arms. There are wild pheasants in the fields and silent nights nestled in...
