"We stayed in the first floor suite with the private bathroom and it was great. The building was built in 1910 so it’s like living in a small apartment in Chelsea a block from Penn Station. It is quiet, clean and has the basic amenities you’ll need. I would suggest bringing extra pillows or towels (we bought some at Macy’s) but the bed was comfortable. "I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again. "
