Examples -- stains in the carpet throughout the property, including the room. There were stains and even holes in the curtains in the room. Dull fluorescent lighting throughout the property. "There was no specific address in Expedia, so Google maps took us to a residential area about a km from the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel was on the same road, so it was easy to see after driving further. Once there, the check in was easy and the hotel was very quiet. The service was good and the bar and restaurant were nice. "

"Absolutely lovely stay at Muckross Hotel. Great location outside of busy Killarney. Right at the trailhead for many beautiful walks; staff were lovely, room big and elegant; very comfortable bed and wonderful spa with big jet pool, steam, sauna, outside hot tub. Highly recommend!"

"This was a quick one night stop on our Ireland road trip. Parking availability was challenging. The property was clean and dinner in the restaurant was good. However the hotel is very dated and the rooms are very basic. The only coffee available in the room was instant. Expected more for the price paid, although it was on the bank holiday, so perhaps that had impact but a coffee maker in rooms would be an improvement"

"The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful, from check in, to breakfast serving, to check out. Each person was happy and smiling during my stay. Room was clean and tidy, with all the usuals you would expect (ironing facilities, hairdryer, toiletries etc). Will stay there again if in the area."

"Great location. Walk to restaurant and pub scene. Convenience shopping close by. No air conditioning. We were there late May and weather was cool fortunately. Breakfast not included in our booking but at 16.00 euro each was a generous full selection. We parked behind and no problem."

"the room had the most disgusting smell i had to wear my eye mask around my nose with perfume on it bathroom was minimal there is no security anyone could walk in it's older than old and there's an elevator but one your off it you still have to lift ur bags in many places to get to your room and nowhere to park your car couldn't wait to get out of there"
