"Our stay was ok for what we paid. The room was clean but had no air conditioning, which in the heat wave was a bit uncomfortable. A fridge in the room would have been good. Breakfast was decent and they have a Starbucks onsite which was great. The staff were friendly and overall I would say it was value for money."

"Terrible experience on both Expedia and the hotel. I booked a room, did the pre-checking online after expedia sends me a messague. When I go to the hotel around 6.30 p.m. the guy at reception casually tells me that they cannot accommodate me because they had an issue with my room. That's it. On top of that; the person at reception tells me as if it helps that they contacted Expedia at 5p.m. which then when I called Expedia hours later after doing my own arrangements was not True. "Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds and great facilities. Only stayed for one night but enjoyed a quick swim in the pool and had a lovely evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Bedroom was a good size with comfy bed and everything needed for an overnight stay. The only thing that I think could be improved is the check in. "Train station being close is about the only good thing this place has to offer. You have to make it past the bar with a bunch of rowdy drunks talking trash to you just to check in. Whoever took the pictures for this place deserves a raise. The room is tiny. The mattress is old. The bathroom is gross. The carpet is gross.
