"I booked a room with a kitchen for my stay for Thanksgiving weekend and the Royal Victoria Marathon. The room had some pots and pans, utensils and cutlery. I really wish there were some basic things available like cooking oil, or in the very least, salt and pepper. Even if they were by request, that would be helpful for short stays and using the kitchen. Aside from that, the room was clean, the bathroom looked recently renovated and the bed was very comfortable. I usually find that hotel beds are too soft for my liking, but I was surprised to find this bed was firm enough that I had a pretty good sleep. My room faced the west, mostly against a big wall, but around it, I had a lovely view of the sunset each night I was there. I had some trouble with my room key on my second day, but the front desk staff were very helpful in getting me back into my room. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider this a good option next time I'm visiting."

"This spot is a real gem, especially if you prioritize location and economy. It's a great place to meet interesting people, and very central, and I appreciated the full kitchen, lockers, and in-room fridges. How to put this next part bluntly, but honestly: the area surrounding the hostel is safe, but you will see open intravenous drug use. People are struggling, and that fact is on display. If the windows are open, you may hear people screaming at all hours. This isn't the Hostel, it's just our current reality."
