"On arrival we were warmly greeted and informed where breakfast would be served and explained where our room was. The room was huge in size, light, airy and tastefully decorated. The en-suite was a good size and cleaned to a high standard as was the room. Breakfasts were amazing, VERY generous portions and well cooked. "The hotel is in a beautiful setting with great views over the surrounding countryside and a well maintained golf course. Our room was fairly basic and a little shabby which we expected to be more polished for the price paid. The restaurants were good, particularly the breakfast, included in our rate, which had a good selection and was great value for money. The food at the Cairns restaurant for dinner was nice but the service was a bit disjointed. There was a lot of staff but still took a while...

"The staff were all very friendly and tried to be helpful. However when we arrived there was no one in reception and we had to wait 10 mins before someone turned up. When we arrived at our room which was large spacious and generally clean, there was no kettle to make tea. There was fecal material in the toilet bowl. Upon walking down two flights of stairs I was told to get hot water fro the coffee machine. Eventually a kettle was found. Evening meal basic but good. Breakfast poor overcooked...
