Excellent B&B. On Niggt 1, we were asked to complete a form specifying what we wanted for breakfast, on night 2 we asked for packed breakfasts the following day and again got to have a say in the contents. Wifi (not to be taken for granted everywhere in SA!) was good. Secure. Beautifully tended gardens.

Great place to stay in Dundee

Lapha was a small quiet very relaxed hotel, perfect for our needs. The breakfasts and evening meals were well cooked and delicious.

Cheaper to book through an agency

Could be excellent but we found that booking through an agency provided bed AND breakfast whereas the owner's website only offered bed for the same price! The bedroom was fine, the bathroom was too narrow - shower was good but the room is only about a metre wide and the sink is opposite the sliding door.so some people would need to leave the door open to use the sink.The place was clean but the towel rail was broken and the towels kept falling down. The place provides a good restaurant but had a very limited wine list. This could be an excellent place but needs some attention to detail, especially at the rice that is top end. We stayed in the Talana room. The bathroom is very narrow and this should be pointed out to potential guests. The towel rail needs fixed and the security latch on the door also needs fixed. Your website should provide breakfast for your price of R1600 especially when the agencies include id for the same price. Could be excellent but let down by a few details and at the price, this should not be an issue.

Great venue for a stay in Dundee, and for viewing local battlefields. Clean, well equipped rooms; lovely gardens and welcoming staff. Paul the chef produced an excellent evening meal and also acted as barman! Breakfast was wonderful - set us up for the day!
