"This is a lovely hotel in a row of historic cottages along a street right by the Broughty Ferry waterfront and within easy walking distance to the shore on one side, and shops and restaurants on the other. Street parking in front of the hotel was free although it did take a few trips around the block to find a space during the mid afternoon. We used the pub in the ground floor as a meeting spot for friends and also really enjoyed the breakfast selection. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"The staff was very attentive and courteous. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed with necessities. The location was ideal, right in the center of St. Andrews and down the street from the Old Course and shops. The food was delicious, the breakfast was inclusive with our stay.
We also booked dinner and it was such a treat! The presentation, the intimate setting, and the food was delicious. We highly recommend the Haar for a place to stay and eat!"

"This is exactly what you want in a guesthouse in a tiny village. By far the best place we stayed at in Scotland with amazing staff, beautiful decor, and absolutely amazing food! Do not skip the restaurant! Cannot recommend the Bankfoot Inn enough!"

"Lovely location right by the water. Well decorated, clean room off a little walkway to the back of the main building which was super quiet. Parking near the hotel was a bit of a challenge as it seemed to be the peak summer season but the staff were helpful to point out a free parking lot a short walk away from the hotel. The breakfast was a highlight, with lots of options to choose from and wonderfully attentive staff. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed exploring the waterfront area...
