"I love this place, it's a gem! The staff are all incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. I was suppose to stay 3 nights but got caught-up in the London Heathrow meltdown and my connection to Glasgow was cancelled. I took a train to Motherwell the next day. I called to explain and they were very accommodating of me missing my first night. Today I stated the West Highland Way trek. The Motherwell train station is a 1 hour train ride from Milgavnie (a starting point for the West Highland Way)....

"There was good parking and the structure of the building was sound. It could’ve been cute but needed severe updated (simply painting the walls.?) "We stayed a week & had our dog with us, were made most welcome by the owner & staff. The main dining room was excellent and newly refurbished. Our room was cleaned an linen changed several times during our stay. Breakfast was excellent and great value the service was excellent and even the dog got her sausage. There were several lovely walks for the dog within a short distance & all locals were very friendly. Lost of historic places to visit not to far to travel. Lindisfarne / Holy island....
