"The first thing I usually do when I get to a room is set up my CPAP machine. There were no plugs next to the bed so i moved the bed slightly to get to an outlet and saw that it has not been cleaned under in a really long time. I stayed the night, but was not happy. I went to breakfast the next morning and it was so messy and burnt stuff on the waffle maker. We did not eat breakfast. We actually left the hotel 2 days earlier than we were originally booked for."

"The room was adequate (matched the price I paid) - lots of parking, easy check in and check out, but I was slightly disappointed with cleanliness - mildew around tub edges, stain on sheets, no stopper in sink, just general neglect to details - again, I got what I paid for. The major negative was the shower had to settings when running - scalding hot or freezing cold - no way to just have warm water. I expect just two amenities when I book cheaper motels - a clean bed and the ability to shower....

"We came for a high school graduation and it was perfect for our stay in Southfield. Rooms were large and had a refrigerator and kitchen area. Staff were helpful and breakfast (included) was a nice addition. The pool was family friendly and was fun for my niece."

"The onsite team or front desk was great. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the room. I dropped something on the floor and when I went to retrieve the item, I noticed how dusty it was under the bed. Keep in mind, the bed sits high off the floor and the floor is vinyl. There was a film along the plastic baseboard that only happens when you mop without sweeping and now there is gunk stuck to the baseboard and floor. My recommendation is that at least twice per year the beds are pulled out...

"The room was clean and for being next to the highway, it was pretty quiet. Carpet was torn up a little. The lighting in the bathroom is very low. It looks like many of the rooms on the ground floor were in the process of being upgraded. The breakfast was pretty basic for a hotel continental breakfast. Good value for the money, overall."

"This property does not offer a free breakfast, but they have a restaurant that serves breakfast. The gyro meat/egg burrito was excellent. This property has a very nice pool and a bar that serves after 4PM. Fogo de Chao is also within a very short walk and service there was much better than the reviews I read on line for this restaurant. We went on a Thursday night and there was a small crowd."

"While this was a cute old hotel with new life be breathed into it...there were a few things that were disappointing. The lobby and breakfast room is on the second floor! I did not see an elevator although there may have been one I missed. But is was a strange set up to say the least. They did have a cool Vinyl room and a pool table that you can play for free but they charge for everything else. For example the lock box for your valuables in the room! Really! Then there is NO live TV! They...

"Everything was fine. Great room!!! Bed was great. Staff was very friendly. We found the walk to Tiger stadium was a little too far…we are 74 years old. So take that into consideration. "
