Great location, though a small trek from the train station- plan your abilities accordingly. Staff were lovely and it was cute! You do need to be able to walk up stairs with luggage. I wouldn't recommend this for folks with physical difficiluties or little ones. For us with our teens, it was perfect! Also right by "diagon alley" should you be an HP fan.

Good value and value for money. Not a fan on the clear bathroom doors as you can see people through and it's not really sealed closed properly like a proper door so can hear and smell everything. Stayed in quad room and the floor was VERY creaky, couldn't move around without noise so wasn't the best at night for when people wanted to use the bathroom For one night it's fine though, just needed somewhere to rest your head

Stayed in a snug double which was snug but had everything needed. Staff helped by suggesting a bus tour which was excellent. Smart tv in room was fab.

Mycket centralt placerat i turistområdet nära Royal Mile, enkelt att hitta. Gångavstånd till det mesta. Extremt sen start på frukostserveringen. Mycket ljud på nätterna - ta med öronproppar. Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal!

Good location in the touristy Grassmarket area. Simple standard rooms that mostly fit our needs. Breakfast was served in adjacent bar. Road construction while we were there threw off the vibe though.

La localisation et l'accueil sont parfaits. La chambre est propre mais sans plus. Par contre, très bruyant (clients dans le couloir, les portes qui claquent, les conversations téléphoniques des chambres mitoyennes, l'aspirateur et la ventilation dans les chambres). L'isolation phonique est à revoir. J'ai très mal dormi, ça a un peu gâché mon séjour.

Clean, good sized room which surprised me after reading other reviews. Bed was really comfortable and staff were helpful. Our room was on the second floor at the front and the noise from the pub below wasnt noticeable. Only downside was the toilet design which was really wierd and uncomfortable to sit on and the shower went from hot to cold for some reason. Other than that really good and the location os hard to beat. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was great, as was the location. Since the elevator only went to the first floor, taking the stairs to the upper floors with luggage was difficult, and would be very difficult for older, handicapped, or for people that are not that strong. Also, the shower never got hot. That was disappointing since my room stayed on the cooler side since you couldn’t set the thermostat past a certain degree.

Staff was outstanding, very helpful with booking cabs as needed, responsive to requests. Room was spacious enough for 3, bathroom clean and more than adequate, also spacious. Only complaint is the lack of seating beyond one desk chair and the beds.

We came in to the hotel reception and the first thing that hits you in the face is a smell of sewer, When we checked in we went in the the elevator and the smell of sewer changed to a moldy foul odor and a big dried in puddle on the floor. The room was not cleaned properly there were still unchanged bed sheets and hair both on the bed and in the bathroom. This "hotel" was more like a hostel then anything else. We checked out the first day but the the hotel management wouldnt let us pay for the first night and get the rest of the stay refunded. Horrible experience and bad service. We

The hot food menu selection was rathe calorific! Could have healthier choices, such poached eggs. Staff were very good and dealt well with a disturbing incident from another guest.

The hotel is in a very centra location, and we loved that. The rooms are small—as expected but the space is well laid out. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. A great stay overall!
