The reception and front desk staff were consistently kind and helpful. The location is excellent - very convenient for getting around, with plenty of things to see and do just minutes away. As a solo female traveler, I did find that there wasn’t much within comfortable walking distance of the hotel after about 9 p.m. The hotel does have a cute bar that stays open until around 11, but it felt fairly quiet and not very lively when I was there alone. My only real issue was with the elevators. One was completely out of service during my stay, and the other was not always reliable. Being on the fifth floor, this meant having to use the stairs multiple times, which was quite inconvenient.

The hotel room was very nice, comfortable, all amenities needed. They quickly responded try my emails prior to our stay. Breakfast was fine but would have been nice to offer at least one different option per day- every day was exactly the same. Hotel restaurant- took us an hour to get 2 sandwiches. Waitress very nice but seems the cook staff didn’t have some of the ingredients. Great hotel location and convenient to all sites.

Rooms are quite small but very clean. Location was spectacular. Very close to the train station- it was a 2 minute walk. Check in was very easy. Close to everything you need, attractions and many restaurants and cafe’s.

Great breakfast and location. Prosecco on arrival was a great touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Made a request at reception which wasn’t followed through and also the lifts weren’t working properly for our whole stay, which caused an inconvenience. Other than that a lovely stay.

Excellent location just start of the royal mile, a comfortable hotel with a nice and filling breakfast, a warm and helping staff. A good place to stay if you are in Edinburgh and want to stay in the old town!

It has the best location, two minutes walk from the train station, centrally located in The Royal Mile. It is very close to restaurants, and shops. The bed was very comfortable! There is an ongoing remodeling and they start at 7 am. And the lift was out of service and there were signs for reception and none for the lift. We went around our floor a couple of times. The bathroom sink gets clogged easily.

A very nice hotel, conveniently located to the High Street in Edinburgh. Has a very nice bar/restaurant (you kinda have to like bars, and I don't ... but the drinks were good and they did have some very nice dishes on the menu) and excellent breakfast (even includes custom-made omelets). Room was comfy and quiet. I thought it was bit tight. But, worked quite well after being out and about all day. I wish I'd known there was hotels from this chain in London (near St. Paul's) and in Dublin (near Dublin Castle). I'd have probably stayed at those as well.

What a lovely hotel. We were welcomed with complimentary prosecco but lovely, friendly staff. The room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was nicely decorated with a goegeous shower. Perfect location too.

It’s located in the perfect spot just off the Royal Mile, short walk to Princess street, and very close to the train station (easy even with luggage).

We stayed one night at the Leonardo. We booked it for our last day/night in Edinburgh after a lovely tour of the Highlands. We booked there as it was in still close to the Royal Mile but its location made it easier easier to get a taxi to the airport after turning in our rental. 1. When we checked in we were informed our room was actually in the next building. We were told we could take the regular elevator or walk through a connected hallway on the ground level and take another elevator that served those rooms. We tried to take the first elevator. We couldn’t stop on the 4th floor where our room was. So, after several rides up and down, that opened up on other floors we got out and trekked down the “ hallway to the other elevator. The hallway was stark white. There was a grumpy man painting and it smelled terrible. We passed some restrooms and I think the smell was coming from there. It permeated the hallway. When we found the small elevator that serviced these other rooms, we made it to the

Excellent location very close to both Waverly Station and the Royal Mile. Our room was very clean with a large bathroom and a lovely shower. The complimentary coffee & tea, cookies and waters were nice. This was the perfect place to stay for a two day stay in Edinburgh!

Lots of outside construction made walking a bit more challenging. Convenient alternatives. Easily walk to most attractions and Waverly Station. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Would definitely stay here again.
