Newly opened restaurant is lovely, beautiful view and nice breakfast. Location of hotel is very central and convenient for walking everywhere. Rooms are smaller and quite basic and could use some attention to a few maintenance type details, but overall a decent spot and an excellent location

Hotel is in a Great location. Very good breakfast. Very accommodating and super friendly staff. Hotel is very nice and clean. It rains a lot in Edinburgh so it was very nice to be in a hotel that has washer and dryer, specially the dryer to dry our soak clothes after long rainy walks! My family and I had a good experience!

The restaurant was under refurbishment so we weren't able to try a full breakfast, but they offered pastries and coffee, which my brother enjoyed. The staff were friendly, the location excellent and everything was lovely. My brother had a room overlooking Princes Street, which was amazing. I'd definitely stay again.

Property was in a great central location and the newly opened restaurant offered a lovely breakfast with an amazing view. The rooms were small and beds were not the most comfortable but we still had a good stay. A couple of things that we will mention to the hotel separately so they have the chance to correct them, but overall a good experience

I was able to leave my luggage before and after checkout and that was very convenient since I arrived in town about 4 hours before checkout. I was also able to check in early and the staff was very helpful and polite. My room was cleaned daily and the staff was helpful. The view was amazing and the location was very walkable to everything I Wanted to do in the city as well as the bus/train stations.

We had an amazing stay at the Mount Royal Hotel. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The room was very clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bar has a really relaxed atmosphere, and the breakfasts are amazing. Would highly recommended.
