We really enjoyed our stay. Nice location, easy to find nice places to eat. Close to Edinburgh (we were there for daughters Uni tour) Will definitely return as we liked the area and close proximity to the A1

Great stay for a couple of nights, perfect location waking up next to cows each day! Walkable into Haddington. Kitchen head everything to cook breakfast and evening meal, including small oven and hobs

Thanks to the host and their lodge, we had a wonderful time! We had the chance to observe the cows, we really enjoyed it. The room had all the amenities needed, we were able to make ourselves dinner during our stay. That was a plus for us. The parking was accessible and the check in message they sent us had all the necessities to access the propriety. It is a must if you are going to visit that part of Scotland!

Great location with bonus of Highland cattle right outside. Lodges looked tired, especially the outside. Need a paint job, some weeding and a few flowers outside would make all the difference. Beds comfy and lodge pretty well equipped. Overall, a nice stay but could be better.

Calm country setting with several Highland “Coos” in a pasture, just in front of our door! The town of Haddington is very nice and picturesque. We would definitely book again!

Fantastic location with lovely views of the East Lothian countryside. Lovely time just sitting, watching the Highland Cows. Accommodation is spotless with everything you need. Owner is so helpful. Highly recommend if you want to get away from it all and just slow down for a few days.

A quaint little lodge outside of Edinburgh with a beautiful view (of fuzzy highland cows)! Stayed in Chonzie Lodge for 1 night and the stay was really comfortable!

The Highland cows were very cute. It would be nice if there was information about the cows, like names and ages. There were weeds in the plant pots in front of the cabin - would be nice if they were flowers! The bed was very soft but that’s just my opinion. The cabin was very quiet and the scenery was wonderful! Parking was easy. Location was good - parked at Newcraighall park and ride and took the train into Edinburgh!
