"The Crossways is an updated building. Regrettably there is no lift and a narrow staircase which makes taking heavy cases upstairs difficult. We had a problem with our room but what makes me give this hotel a 5 star rating was their service recovery was brilliant. The team are very friendly and my Venison Pie for dinner was excellent. Top marks to our waiter who when an item was sold out apologised so well and convinced me to have the Venison pie. The young team member who served breakfast was...

"Lovely stay breakfast was delicious and staff very attentive. Room was modern but had a few cosmetic issues such as tape on laminate flooring and a shower screen that didn't stop the water from pouring out. It didn’t affect our stay but from a glance minor repairs could be made. Would still happily book again as location and breakfast alone was well worth it "

"What a wonderful gem! The staff were so lovely and helpful, the room was huge with a beautiful view, and I absolutely loved the breakfast, you can really tell how much care goes into everything. "Staff uniforms were filthy and the floors were covered in food. Owner didn't greet with a smile nor was very friendly. There were broken ornaments on display. Shower door was broken and didn't close properly and the shower itself was a dribble of water. Im glad it was onky for one night!"
