"The room was very dirty and outdated; the air conditioning wasn't working—making the atmosphere stifling—and the carpet was filthy and worn out. Overall, the entire hotel smelled terrible. The receptionist was polite but failed to resolve the issues that made my stay so uncomfortable. My reservation was for two days and three nights, but I simply couldn't stay there under those conditions. I asked to speak with the manager to cancel my reservation and request a refund, but—surprise!—the manager...

We were unlucky enough to be there at the same time as a soccer tournament and despite clear instructions in the rooms to not leave children unattended they were running up and down the hallway until past 11pm. "Perfect roadside hotel walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do in Virginia City. Owners and their team awesome people! Older style facility, but clean, comfy beds, great views, and we will absolutely stay again. Parking a little tight, but doable. Many guests met out front over coffee and danishes provided by the owners."
