"We selected this property partly for the spa and convenience to the old walled city. When we arrived, we were informed there was a festival in town that weekend, and had to park at the train station two miles away. No way to drive in or out for the whole stay. Then, we asked to use the spa and the spa was not even open—being refurbished for the month. They should have let us know before we got all the way there. Pretty spot, not sure I’d do it again. "We had an amazing stay at Château d’Étoges. The castle is beautiful, full of history, and surrounded by peaceful gardens. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with a great selection. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, making it the perfect place to experience the French countryside. We also enjoyed the restaurant and the excellent Champagne selection.
