"I have stayed at the Welk before, & enjoyed myself...But this trip, there were a couple of incidents that made it less than perfect. A member of my party wanted to use the grill located about 20 feet away from my villa. I had called 3 times(twice 1 day & once the next)to the Maintenance department for that grill to be cleaned. It was never cleaned!! But a Welk rep did come out to take a picture, why? I have no clue. On one of the times I'd called, the rep said there was a miscommunication...

"Room was a bit small for four adults. The room only had three bath towels in it, though we reserved for four adults. Breakfast buffet was typical for Holiday Inn Express which means acceptable. Not gourmet, but tasty and filling. Quiet considering the location. Will stay again if we go back to the area and need a hotel."

"A delightful surprise! I had read the reviews. I read all the great things about this property. I was happy to find that they were all true. Not the most modern. Everything felt like coming home. "The room was outdated and in really bad condition. The lamp shades were broken, there were stains on the curtains, there was damage on the headbaord and furniture, the tile in bathroom was broken and the area almost felt unsafe to walk on. The vanity and sink area look like it hadn't been dusted in weeks. The clothes rack was super rusted. The bed was comfortable and the location was great and we appreciated the microwave and fridge which bith worked well. "
