Great cottage, felt like home

This cottage far exceeded our expectations. The entire place was clean, the owners are very friendly, and it's in a convenient location being within walking distance to town. We felt like we were in a home. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay, this is it!

Incredibly location and views!

Being able to walk downtown each morning and night and avoid the traffic was wonderful. The Kind coffee shop was a 10 minute stroll in the morning. The location also makes accessing Rocky Mountain National Park easier because the smaller entrance is just up the road from the cottage. We traveled with our 18 year old son and twin 14 year old sons. One stayed on the sleeper sofa, which worked for him. The other two shared the king bed so they'd each have enough room. We stayed on the queen bed that is actually on what would be the front porch. (I wanted an easy exit in the morning to get coffee and not wake anyone else up.) Beds were comfortable and the blankets were more than enough. Not having air conditioning was not an issue for us. The one afternoon that it was a little warmer, we left the front door open to air it out a bit more than just the windows. It wasn't a problem. The kitchen had everything that we needed. We made breakfast just one day, but there was enough storage for water, gatorades, snacks, fruit, etc. The Wifi worked well, and all of the boys appreciated it. The "above and beyond moment" came when we returned from Trail Ridge Road with horribly squeaky brakes. The owner was in the driveway and suggested a place in town for us to get the brakes checked. Turned out the brakes were overheated (so when the sign says to switch to low gear, do it!). The owner came by later that evening to check on us and make sure all was well.

Charming and quaint, very well priced.

Very cozy cottage, will definitely go back, however will rent a cottage without neighboring wall, one night very loud due to inconsiderate neighbor, cottage was clean and had all the comforts of home. Be mindful of 10am checkout, at 9am housecleaner walked in on us even though our car was still parked in stall, and key was not in Lockbox.

Very cute cottage! Had a quick girls weekend and absolutely loved the small and homey cottage feel. Would like to rent all their cottages at 1 time for a trip for a group family trip up to Estes this summer!

River Rock Cottages

We rented a cottage as we attended a wedding in Estes Park. The cottage was more than I expected. We were very pleased with the cottage. I will reccomend the River Rock Cottages to friends. We didn't have contact with the staff as we didn't need anything. If we needed anything we would have contacted them. The cottage was clean and very nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Cottage in Estes Park

Great place with a lot of space for a family to stay. By accident I left my Chromecast on the TV and after notifying the owners they were quick to look for it and mail it back to me. I told them they could charge my credit card for the shipping and they covered the cost of it anyway...very nice of them to do that.

Cabins in Estes Park

Made a last minute reservation for three nights to round out a trip through Colorado and was not disappointed. The cabin was very nice and clean with new windows, bath, and kitchen. It met all our needs. The kitchen had everything we needed. Able to walk to downtown for restaurants. Would stay there again if we return to the area.

Stay at Aspen cottage

The cottage was well laid out and cozy with a nice view on the porch. Would have been better if it had a daily housekeeping service and a business center for computer/printer access. The owners are really nice and I would come back.

The Evergreen cabin is a beautiful cottage... Would recommend no more than two adults; otherwise not enough room.

Nice simple well equipped cottage

Close to Estes Park but it doesn't feel like you are in the middle of the crowds. Very peaceful. Even had a deer walk right up to the cottages. The only complaint was that the cottage can be hot since there is not airconditioning. It does cool down in at night.

Great experience

I had a great experience with river rock cottages. The cottage, chickadee, was exceeded my expectations. The cottage was really clean and it had eveything you needed. It was also pretty cool to see elks on the property. The only con was that the freezer wasn't cold enough so it melted our ice cream and the lack of a recycling bin. Other than that, river rock cottage was great and I highly recommended it.

Great location-- walking distance to the main street of Estes Park and close to park entrance. Very updated and clean rooms with great views. Overall a quaint and cozy place, great for the price. I would definitely stay here again!

Signs signs everywhere signs

We really liked that there was a lockbox and no formal check in. The scenery was great even in the dead of winter. Quiet location near downtown. Would be walking distance in warmer temps. The room "appeared" clean. Then when we dropped some change we found dust bunnies, bobby pins, a big chunk of broke glass. This was just under the bed. I went to plug in my charger and discovered a child's polo shirt behind the couch. I ended up putting it back since they had signs everywhere. Signs about no unauthorised guests, being "quiet time" between 10p and 8a. Signs about extra charges for leaving any dirty dishes. We are familiar about no smoking in CO hotels being Co residents. However they had signs about no "evidence" of smoking anywhere on premises. I did walk out to the road in below freezing temps. But the owner did see me on the grounds with an unlit smoke in my mouth while snapping morning photos... will I get a charge??? Just got a vibe that they really don't want to be in this business...
