"This was definitely the best accomodation we had during our two week trip of the UK. Fiona and Steve were very welcoming hosts. The historic house is cozy, as is the guest lounge and breakfast room. The lounge is equipped with a quality stereo system, a record player and a large and truly excellent selection of LPs. You can select your breakfest and your music of choice in the evening. "The room was spotless and a lot of thought in the details. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We were the only guests for dinner but didn't feel awkward as the staff including the chef were chatting with us. The place was full of character whilst giving attention to comfort. We absolutely loved it."

"A wonderful stay at Calm Sea Guesthouse. We had a lovely spacious room with comfortable beds and nice extra touches like a packet of sweets for our teenage boys and biscuits for us. Even a mini fridge with fresh milk - what a treat! Mel and Trish could not have made us feel more welcome. Trish cooked a delicious breakfast each morning, and Mel gave us a wealth of tips and suggestions for eating out and places to visit. A first rate stay, highly recommend."

"Beautiful building, nice large room, super comfortable mattress, duvet and pillows. Lovely little touches like earplugs (yes the church clock chimes through the night, I didn’t hear it but my husband did), make up remover pads and shower caps. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Super friendly people, and the communal fridge under the stairs with milk and juices to help yourself to is a really thoughtful addition. "
