"The price for this hotel does not reflect the services provided / lack of knowledge of the current employees. Communication was an issue. Supper was so terrible. Although it was nice to be offered a “to go” breakfast as our flight left very early, it was terrible. Bread was beyond dry, server in the patio lounge seemed like he was brand new as well as the gentleman checking people in. It seemed that they were on day 1 of work there. The room we were in had carpet that was not very clean looking....

"Very accommodating to early check in request. A very cosy little cottage just a tiny bit on the small side. Two suitcases - not a lot of space to have them both open. Very clean, great area - peaceful and beautiful grounds - views were lovely. Would def stay there again if in Victoria. Was not able to take advantage of the breakfast unfortunately, but the menu looked delicious!"

"The windows in our room were so dirty that it was hard to see the view.
The rug was thread bear and had a hole that had been poorly repaired with the rug pad showing through . The gardens may have been lovely in years gone by but clearly aren’t getting any attention now.
For almost $400 Canadian/ night I would expect more attention to detail and care for this beautiful old home.
I won’t return"

"Check-in staff was very welcoming and the stay included a gift of chocolates and one of their brews. Complimentary parking and easy access to walking trails is a huge plus.
Room is located in a heritage house. Our room was on the main floor and sound does travel from hallways and upper floors, but it did not affect our enjoyment. The bed was quite comfortable and room was clean. It would have been nice to have an electrical outlet in the bathroom, or a mirror in the main room near an outlet.

"This is one of my all time best hotel experiences, anywhere. The property is stunning, the food is delicious, the staff are incredibly helpful & the location is quite beautiful - it’s separate from the busy downtown of Victoria but still close enough to easily get to town quickly, with some coastal walks nearby!
My only notes were that the property has active construction which made getting in & out slightly cumbersome with little direction and parking was slightly confusing during check in as a...
