"The place is in dire need of a makeover. In the bathroom... No exhaust fan... Hinges and towel racks are rusted... Wall paper is peeling off the walls... Tub/shower faucet is connected wrong. Hot is cold and Cold is hot... Door has noticeable cracks. The front half of the room had no lights. Until this place get renovated, I will not stay there again."

"The building and grounds need maintenance. There's rotting window sills and rain damage on the ceiling, spots of bleach on the carpets and the doorknob of a closet came off in my hand. The TV in the room is incredibly small, the size of a computer screen. You don't come to a hotel to watch TV but like showers, you expect a nice experience. The breakfasts were ok, but not great."

"The Niantic Inn is a perfect representation of what old small town Niantic had to offer with a vibrant modern upgrade in restaurants and entertainment! We loved our stay. Not a chain hotel. More like a seaside oasis! Beach passes are available to Hole in the Wall Beach as well. Sounds awful I know! But it's a Beach like no other in CT.Just like I remembered it growing up in Niantic! "The bedding smelled and the mattress was old. The rugs in the hallways were old and smelled . There was an odor throughout the motel. The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable but I will never book an Econo Lodge again. Extremely disappointed"

"We did not end up staying here. We drove into the parking lot and drove right back out. I wasn't expecting much for the price. However, it looked like a homeless shelter. One of the doors looked like someone had tried to break in, and they just taped it up. It was scary looking. I would rather have slept in my car than stay here for even 1 night."
