A picturesque, quiet and opulent place to stay whenever visiting Florence. The view of Florence is excellent, the food is good and access to both Florence and nearby fine dining is convenient. Our "go to" place near Florence since 2012, and it will remain so.

A fabulous hotel with one of the very best view of Florence. An unforgettable experience - fine room, an excellent kitchen with full service and daily special menus. Close to the bus stop for travel to central Florence. A great place!

Very nice to get out of the noise and crowds of Florence. They arranged taxis into town every day. The view of Florence from the bar and restaurant terraces is spectacular.

The couple that run this business are absolutely lovely! If you want breakfast it will be delivered to your room at the time of your choosing. It was great. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. Any questions, or directions, the owners are there to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We wanted a car to take us to Arezzo and they took care of that for us. Plus, you can't beat the location! This was a real find and we highly recommend it.

This is truly an undiscovered spot. Very quiet and great view of the city. If you Must have AC don’t stay here. They do have a ceiling fan and a floor fan for both bedrooms so it wasn’t bad even at temps in the 90’s. It’s about a 15 minute taxi ride to the city so it’s not bad and will cost you between $25 and $30 Euro. Make sure you have cash. It was very safe and a real treat. The menu for dinner was surprisingly good and was very affordable.

Italian charm at its best!

Just the most wonderful and truly Italian hotel overlooking Florence. It is so tranquil, a magical place, and the perfect place to relax on the terrace, with a drink watching the glitter of the city lights after the hustle and bustle of the day.. The staff could not do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel full of Italian charm.

Overall we enjoyed our time. We did find the ads for the hotel to be misleading in terms of expectations for the quality of the room and bathroom. The hotel liaising shows very nice, well decorated and updated rooms. We did feel that our room and bathroom were very dated and plain looking in comparison. Part of the ceiling in our bathroom if was flaking off. Wished it could have been closer to what we anticipated!

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour cette hôtel. Petit hôtel de charme sur les hauteurs de Florence. Personnel aimable et souriant. Établissement un peu vieillissant mais très chaleureux. Ne vous attendez pas à une chambre avec marbres et dorures. Nous avons passé deux bonnes nuits avec nos grands enfants de 20 et 16 ans, une chambre avec un grand lit pour les parents et une autre avec deux petits lits. Parfait pour notre séjour.

Ganz schlechtes Restaurant, kalte Beilagen (Bohnen, Kartoffeln - bewusst kalt serviert, wie die Chefin erklärt). Eine Art Experimentierküche mit dem Gast als Versuchskaninchen. Es ist nicht leicht, in Italien schlecht zu essen - hier hat man es geschafft!

3 day stay.

Our room at the pensione was fairly large, a bit tired, with a wardrobe, nice bathroom, and a killer view of Florence. After we had checked into our room we realized the air conditioning was not working ( it was hot ). We advised reception and were told that half the air system was not working and that the next day we would be able to change rooms. It would have been nice if they had told us up front that the air wasn't working. The next day we changed rooms to a much smaller, dingy, tiny bathroom, nowhere to hang clothes, air conditioned, killer view, for the same price. The room was nowhere near the same quality as the first room. Supper that night at their restaurant was not good. It was a 4 course meal. The a la carte menu is not available on Mondays and Tuesday. One of the courses was soup, which we did not receive. The second was pasta which was ok. The main described as pork slices was in fact 4 paper thin slices of luncheon meat with slices of lettuce(no dressing) and beets. It was terrible. dessert was creme caramel which was OK. At 20 euros each we were very disappointed. We tried breakfast the next day to give it a chance but again we were disappointed. We did not go back again during our 3 day stay. We did notice on Wednesday the restaurant had plenty of customers. Does the real chef come and do the a la carte menu? In our opinion the hotel is very tired and needs a facelift. It does have a great view but that's it, we have nothing good to say.

Die Lage des Hotels ist schön, aber in der Buchungsbestätigung war der Spa-Bereich mit kostenloser Benützung angeführt. 1. war dieser aufgrund COVID schon 2 Jahre zu und wurde uns noch mitgeteilt, dass er auch nicht kostenlos wäre, Das Frühstück war mit € 8.- im Internet bepreist- das wurde uns auch beim Einchecken gesagt - wie wir am Zimmer waren kam dann ein Anruf von der Rezeption, dass das Frühstück € 12.- pro Person koste. Wir waren dann nur am 1. Tag frühstücken- auf der Rechnung war jeder Tag verrechnet. Das Personal an der Rezeption leider unfreundlich- erst nachdem wir guten Morgen oder gute Nacht sagten wurde dies erwidert.
