"Loved the property, I was just disappointed and stressed that I wasn't advise that I needed a code to access the property, I couldn't get hold of Expedia when I arrived at 8pm, only for my daughter Googleing the property owner, who very kindly told us the code, and advised that this sometimes happens when booked through 3rd party,."

"The stay was comfortable and the gardens lovely. The drinks and barstaff great, reception great and friendly with advice on sight seeing. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a broken window pane and the furnishings were dated. Bed comfortable. The food was disappointing. I had a seafood chowder which was pretty good and the fish tasted fresh. the main was a steak that looked pale and was not cooked with lots of fat and gristle, the vegetables were overcooked. The desert tasted OK but was again a victim of being left under a heat lamp for too long. My colleague had salmon and vegetables. Again overcooked and vegetables soggy and drained of colour, salmon was dry. Breakfast was again a victim of being overcooked and scorched under a heat lamp. Food overall disappointing for a hotel known for its fine cuisine. Location is wonderful."

"Our stay overall was lovely!! It was our first time staying here. We were blown away by the restaurant and the friendly staff which made our first night more comfortable and relaxing. Unfortunately there was a badly timed hiccup with our room air con which then highlighted other mechanical faults resulting in a room switch at midnight. We weren't altogether happy as it took several attempts to alert staff who it transpired....were wearing ear phones and so werent answering numerous room calls."
